Chicago-Based Colorist
Hello, I’m Ramón :)
My introduction to hair color began at the age of 10 with my mother and grandmother relying on me to apply their base color, which opened a world of curiosity. I began reading formulation charts and was anxious to explore playing with other tools, such as lightener and other varieties of developers, and colors. “What’s all this semi, demi, and permanent stuff,” I asked myself.
As I grew older, I always returned to hair color as a creative outlet. I gained experience, mostly from trial and error, ultimately becoming a self-taught learner!
After finishing my Bachelor’s degree in British Literature, and having dabbled in clerical jobs, the desire to legitimize this hobby never left me. In January of 2025, I completed Paul Mitchell the School Chicago’s cosmetology program and earned my license through the state of Illinois.
